Happy 100th Birthday, Cornelia!
Cornelia has been involved in music throughout her long life, beginning with piano lessons as a young girl, graduating as Valedictorian from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts degree with emphasis on piano, and serving on the boards of many music-related organizations. As a founder of the Women’s Symphony Association (now the Symphony League of the South Carolina Philharmonic) in 1965, she served in many leadership roles, including two terms as President, multiple terms as Endowment Trustee, Chair of the Symphony Belles, Parliamentarian and Historian. In 1990, she was named Member Emeritus of the Symphony League Board of Directors in recognition of her exemplary service and leadership. The Symphony League congratulates Cornelia, Life Member, on her upcoming birthday and extends enthusiastic thanks and appreciation for her contributions over a lifetime of service. Again, Happy 100th Birthday, dear Cornelia!!! |
